Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Mexico
Thursday, 30 Jan 2020 – We were scheduled to stop at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at 1:00 PM.  Mexico contains 770,000 square miles, and is the fifth largest country in the Americas by total area.  With an estimated population of over 129 million people, Mexico is the most populous Spanish-speaking country in the world.
Cabo San Lucas is a resort city at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula.  As of 2015, the population of the city was 81,111 inhabitants.  Rated as one of Mexico's top 5 tourist destinations, Cabo is known for its beaches, scuba diving locations, the sea arch El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, and marine life.  The Los Cabos Corridor has become a heavily trafficked vacation destination for tourists, with numerous resorts and timeshares along the coast between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo.

We had plenty of time for our daily routine of breakfast, swimming, and lunch, before our ship’s scheduled arrival time.  In addition, the captain decided to delay our arrival while he waited for a Princess cruise ship to depart, which was occupying the prime anchor location.  During lunch, we met Billy & Velma from North Carolina.
It was about 2:30 PM by the time the first passengers started boarding the ship’s tenders for the short ride ashore.  We boarded a tender at about 4:00 PM, spending only a few minutes there before returning to the ship.  Before dinner, we danced again and then set our clock forward by another hour.  We now match CST in the US.
