At Sea

As we awoke Friday, 4 Oct 2013, according to the ship’s navigator, we were cruising on a north northwesterly course through the Yellow Sea towards Quindao, China.  Since last night was the first time during this cruise that we didn’t cross a time line, we didn’t need to reset our clocks either back or forward.  After breakfast, we spent about an hour in the large, indoor swimming pool, after testing the water temperature in all of the pools.  The water in small, round pool at the rear of the ship was not nearly as warm as it had been the last couple of days.  Since the depth of the large pools ranges from 5 to 7 feet, Jesse doesn’t feel as comfortable swimming in them; however, he did mostly water aerobics exercises, though he had trouble remembering many of the routines.  Sally swam laps as she usually does (though that is impossible in the little round pool).  After quick showers, we attended ballroom dance class in the Club Fusion at noon, where we reviewed the Merengue, Waltz, and Tango.  We thought we had mastered the new step in the Tango as we left the class, but now… not quite.    After lunch, Jesse stopped at the Pastry Extravaganza to stuff himself, and then we returned to our cabin for Sally’s afternoon nap.  After the formal dinner (where we were served lobster again), we danced for an hour in the Club Fusion before retiring for the night.  Tomorrow morning we will be in China!
